Call for Proposals
The 2019 JU-VCU Conference
Thank you for your interest in presenting at our inaugural Cross-Cultural Perspectives on Research, Teaching and Learning Conference. The Conference affords researchers, scholars, practitioners and students an opportunity to demonstrate the relevance and value of research and practice.
Different types of presentation formats are welcomed:
- Individual Paper – 30 minutes per presentation (20 minutes for presentation with 10 minutes for questions). Papers will be classified according to the following themes: (1) educational theory and practice; (2) child and family education; (3) learning and course construction; (4) cross-cultural and comparative studies; and (5) other.
- Poster – The program will include scheduled 60-minute poster sessions that allow for informal, interactive discussions of research. This is an ideal presentation format for a postgraduate student or researcher whose study is at an earlier stage.
Title (max 50 words): The title should be as brief as possible but long enough to clearly indicate the nature of the abstract and presentation. If you wish to have a subtitle, it is included in the 50-word limit.
Abstract (max 500 words): Any abstracts exceeding the word limit will not be accepted. Your abstract should include relevant information, including background or scope of the study, significance and aims of the research, research design or conceptual framework, findings or data source, and implications for further educational research.
