Bio
Courtnie Wolfgang is assistant professor and graduate program director of art education, as well as a member of the VCU Open Minds faculty. Her work has been published in Visual Arts Research, Studies in Art Education, the Journal of Social Theory in Art Education, and the Journal of Cultural Research in Art Education, among others. She has led collaborative arts-based workshops with adolescent girls in juvenile arbitration, the development of arts courses for incarcerated adults at Richmond city jail, and edited a special issue of Visual Arts Research on Queering Art Education.
