On Saturday, June 23, the VCU School of Education will host its fourth annual Evelyn Reed Symposium on Early Childhood Research and Practice from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the VCU Academic Learning Commons.
The event, named for former associate professor and Department of Special Education and Disability Policy chair Evelyn Reed, brings together a wide variety of audiences — ranging from researchers across the VCU campus to members of the Greater Richmond community — to discuss topics related to improving outcomes for young children.
This year's theme is Transition. Registration is free, and lunch will be provided. Participants will receive a certificate of attendance documenting contact hours for recertification.
The primary event contact is Dr. Mary Ellen Huennekens.
