Office of Assessment
The Office of Assessment collects and analyzes data on current candidates and graduates. This information is used to evaluate and improve the education programs in the School of Education and its partners in the College of Humanities and the School of Arts.
Responsibilities
The Office of Assessment’s responsibilities include:
- Consult on assessment, evaluation, and survey initiatives, including needs assessment, advising on content, and identifying available survey platforms and training options
- Construct and administer surveys supporting the continuous improvement of programs, departments, offices and centers (e.g., program evaluations, unit operations, and administrative evaluations)
- Configure and implement the assessment system to facilitate student learning outcomes data collection
- End-user training and support for faculty, staff, students and K-12 partners
- Inform and communicate with faculty and department chairs regarding data collection, analysis, and use of data for continuous improvement
- Distribute regular and periodic assessment and program evaluation reports to program faculty, department chairs and the School of Education leadership team
- Data mining for unit operations, administrative support, and external reporting and for select program projects
- Advise faculty and the leadership team on assessment and program evaluation initiatives
- Support for CAEP and CACREP program review and accreditation
