Dr. Christenbury featured in interview on ‘Helping English Teachers Persevere’

Dr. Leila Christenbury

Dr. Leila Christenbury, retired commonwealth professor of English education, is featured in "Helping English Teachers Persevere," an audio interview posted May 16 from the National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE) and Education Talk Radio Pre K-20.

Dr. Christenbury is the author of 10 books, including "Continuing the Journey: Becoming a Better Teacher of Literature and Informational Texts," which she co-authored with Dr. Ken Lindblom. Dr. Lindblom, dean of the School of Professional Development at Stony Brook University, is also featured in the interview.

Dr. Christenbury, who also served as interim dean of the School of Education, is a frequent speaker across the country on issues of English teaching and learning. Listen to the audio interview here.
