The Personality, Stress and Coping Research Lab is primarily focused on advancing scientific knowledge in the areas of stress-related consequences and the various individual factors that may inhibit and enhance an individual’s stress levels. A large majority of our work has focused on how an individual’s different coping strategies and personality characteristics, especially perfectionism, influence stress levels. Our studies span multiple age groups from adolescents to adults, diverse groups from multiple countries and backgrounds, and many different outcomes including emotional, physical and academic outcomes.
