Education is the building block of an engaged and civil society.

The VCU School of Education's Minor in Education is designed with you in mind. It's practical and focused on teaching critical skills used in all careers. Complete our Minor in Education to try out classes for your future major or to learn more about human learning, teaching, and how education can support diversity and democracy. This minor will not meet the requirements needed for teacher licensure in the state of Virginia as outlined by the Virginia Department of Education. The School of Education's minor in education requires at least 18 credits, consisting of the following:

Students must have a minimum GPA of 2.8 to declare a minor in education and must maintain a minimum GPA of 2.8 throughout the coursework in the minor.
