The colloquium features faculty and doctoral student research, research-related activities, and faculty- and student-led presentations on ongoing research.
This annual event also features scholars of national and international renown speaking on an educational topic of interest.
This year we will host assistant professor Tawara Goode of Georgetown University, who will present the keynote address at 10 a.m. She will discuss “So Many Concepts Related to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion: How do they apply to disability within academia?"
Goode is the director of the National Center for Cultural Competence and an assistant professor in the Department of Pediatrics at Georgetown University Medical Center in Washington, D.C. She has degrees in early childhood education, education and human development.
