Lindstrom's career as a FBI special agent fed his passion for teaching.

Lindstrom worked in the private sector, including a stop at Harley-Davidson Motor Company, before joining the FBI, where he has worked for the past 17 years. He began his teaching career at the University of Texas in El Paso in 2015. His experiences in the FBI fed his passion for teaching, and now he is able to pursue his passion in the education field.

SOE’s Ed.D. in Leadership: the perfect transition.

When he began teaching at the University of Texas, Lindstrom had never taken an education course before, but he found his niche in education. He’s looking to use his Ed.D. as a critical component to transition from federal law enforcement to an administrative or teaching role. Our Ed.D in Leadership program was the perfect route to meet his goals, and it offers a variety of career pathways beyond teaching.

Lindstrom shopped around, and he knew what he wanted.

Lindstrom says he looked at many online programs, but none of the other schools quite fit what he was looking for. He wanted a program focused on general leadership that was not so specialized on a particular aspect of education, but that was also applicable outside of the school setting. Through SOE, he was able to get the "step up" he needed to advance his career.

The online process: easy from the very beginning.

Lindstrom says that the process of applying for the Ed.D. in Leadership program was very easy and straightforward. The software was exceptional, and as he proceeded through the program, he says it was great to see how much progress he had made, and how much was left to complete.

Many people believe that teaching is their only option in the field of education. Fortunately, education and learning continue over the course of an entire career, which makes our Ed.D. in Leadership program such a great fit for so many people. What’s more, our faculty and staff ensure that you stay on the right path to meet your goals, whether you’re in the classroom or on your laptop at home.
