Andrew Daire, Ph.D., dean and Ruth Harris Professor in the VCU School of Education, has been selected as the 2021 Academic and Administrative Leadership recipient of VCU’s Presidential Awards for Community Multicultural Enrichment (PACME).

The Academic and Administrative Leadership award shares honors with the Faculty, Student and Staff awards. These awards were created to recognize and encourage contributions such as advocating equity, building community, establishing cross-cultural initiatives, nurturing acceptance and promoting civility within the university community.

In a letter from University President Michael Rao, Ph.D., Daire was recognized for his contributions and efforts toward enhancing the goals of inclusive excellence and diversity at VCU, above and beyond the routine expectations of his position.

Daire and the other PACME recipients will be recognized during a virtual ceremony on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. The public is invited to view the live event.
