Program Assessment and Evaluation
A few key outcome data metrics for our programs in the 2018-19 academic year:
In summer 2018, fall 2018 and spring 2019, 26 students earned master’s degrees in the school counseling track, and seven students earned M.Ed. degrees in the college student development and counseling track. We also celebrated two additional graduates of the Ph.D. in Education, Concentration in Counselor Education and Supervision.
Approximately 95 percent of students admitted to the M.Ed. in counseling’s school counseling concentration and 95 percent of the students admitted to its college student development and counseling concentration complete the degree program. For our doctoral graduates, this represented a 75 percent completion rate.
Job placement rate
Approximately 88 percent of school counseling track graduates and 86 percent of college student development and counseling track graduates obtain jobs in counseling or a related field within six months of completing our M.Ed. program. For our doctoral program, 100 percent of our doctoral graduates obtain jobs in counselor education and supervision jobs within six months of completing the degree.
