Completing an Ed.D. from the School of Education is the result of a commitment to the idea that ‘even in the most difficult circumstances, you choose to keep showing up.’
Tomika Ferguson of the School of Education earned the capstone award of the program, which recognizes contributions among students, faculty and staff that support cross-cultural relations and a welcoming environment.
She is completing her bachelor’s degree in special education and teaching while instructing Prince William County students – and running an alpaca farm.
