Faculty Organization

The School of Education's Faculty Organization is organized as a collaborative partner with School of Education administration to ensure open communication and faculty voice in decisions and governance of the school, serving dual advisory and advocacy roles. The organization serves as an instrument through which faculty can effectively participate in the formulation of school policies and practices. This organization receives, reviews and recommends matters relating directly to faculty welfare and rights, and provides a forum for discussion of issues.

All full-time faculty members (including tenured, tenure-eligible and non-tenure eligible) who hold appointments, joint appointments, part-time appointments, or affiliate appointments in the School of Education are members of the Faculty Organization, with officers and delegates elected from the membership. Organization meetings are held on the second Thursday of each month from 12:30 - 1:45 p.m. on the 4th floor of Oliver Hall or via Zoom.
