Bio
Heather Evans came to the School of Education’s Counseling and Special Education Department in September of 2022 after working in K-12 education as teacher, assistant principal and principal for most of her 20 year educational career. Heather has extensive experience in education including higher ed, K-12 and alternative education.
She is a life-long learner who believes that all students deserve an education that is engaging, purposeful and that inspires personal as well as professional growth. She aims to bring an open mind, a positive attitude, and high expectations to her role each day as she supports department initiatives.
