SOE ranked #11 Best Public Grad Program by U.S. News
The VCU School of Education once again ranks among the top graduate schools of education in the country, according to U.S. News & World Report. The school comes in at No. 20 overall in the newly-released 2020 rankings, up six from last year. The school is also No. 11 among public graduate schools of education.
With 258 schools of education participating nationwide, only three Virginia schools of education ranked among this year’s top 50, and VCU is the No. 2 education school in Virginia.
“Our ranking in U.S. News & World Report demonstrates not only the exceptional quality of our faculty, staff and students, it also confirms the impact of our teaching, research and service to the surrounding communities,” said Dr. Andrew Daire, dean of the School of Education.
Now an annual tradition in academia, the U.S. News & World Report rankings have become the definitive list for assessing the nation’s top higher education programs. Each year’s rankings are compiled via a combination of quantitative measures, expert opinion and peer assessment data.
“These rankings are an outstanding achievement because they reflect the high quality of our graduate level programs, in addition to a significant increase over last year’s excellent score,” Daire said.
