Dr. Conley achieves ‘first’ in counseling field

The VCU School of Education's Abigail H. Conley, Ph.D., associate professor in the Department of Counseling and Special Education, was recently appointed the first female editor-in-chief of Counseling and Values: Spirituality, Ethics, and Religion in Counseling.

Counseling and Values is the official journal of the Association for Spirituality, Ethics, and Religious Values in Counseling, a division of the American Counseling Association. Aliza Lambert, a doctoral student in SOE’s Ph.D in Education, Concentration in Counselor Education and Supervision program, is Conley's editorial assistant.

Counseling and Values promotes theory, research and practice at the intersection of religion, spirituality and ethics in the counseling process, with an emphasis on the ethical integration of religion and spirituality into counseling.
