Teachers of Color Conference featured on CBS 6
The Virginia Education Association's (VEA) 2020 Teachers of Color Conference, hosted by the VCU School of Education, was featured recently on the CBS 6 website.
Teachers from across Virginia gathered at the conference to figure out how to attract more people of color to the profession to better serve students in the Commonwealth. The conference focused on the barriers educators face like working conditions, compensation and community struggles.
