Staff Council
The purpose and mission of the VCU School of Education (SOE) Staff Council (SC) is to serve as a voice for SOE staff, to inform the SOE Leadership Team and Faculty Organization of staff initiatives and successes, and to raise issues and concerns of staff. The SC also works to support each other, VCU students and the surrounding community. We do this by focusing on the SC Goals.
Goals for SOE SC are to:
- Improve the SOE working climate and overall morale
- Increase professional visibility and networking opportunities
- Promote professional development
- Enhance staff communication
- Increase visibility, participation and engagement in Staff Council initiatives
- Increase a sense of community
The Staff Council bylaws will be updated by December 2021.
Elections for the Professional Staff Council’s executive board are held every December. Officers serve a one-year term, with the exception of the chair-elect, whose term is two years.
